Originally from El Bierzo, but in love with Laxe since childhood, my passion for cooking began at the age of 18. I studied in A Coruña and, after working in hotel and restaurant kitchens across Galicia, the Balearic Islands, and the Canary Islands, I opened my first restaurant in 2019: A Pracería in Laxe, with a concept of simple yet creative cuisine.

Now, at Arrueiro, I want to offer a more personal approach – a small restaurant with a relaxed atmosphere that allows me to create dishes with care, attention, and sensitivity. I can be more present, talk to guests, and provide a close, friendly, and welcoming experience.

Tasting Menu

At Arrueiro, I offer a six-course journey towards authenticity..

The menu consists of 5 savoury courses plus 1 dessert, with the ingredients taking centre stage, changing according to the season and market availability. We work with the local fish market and other nearby suppliers, always using fresh, seasonal produce.

This is a “slow-cooked” cuisine, a tribute to our mothers and grandmothers who prepared their broths gently over low heat, with sofritos that enhance the flavours. Rooted in tradition, yet combined with contemporary techniques, it results in original and flavourful dishes.
